IAREP-SABE Early Career Researchers Workshop

In association with the SABE-IAREP 2021 virtual conference

IAREP and SABE traditionally offer young researchers an opportunity to present their research in front of experienced academics (mentors) in the field of experimental and behavioural economics and psychology.

This Early Career Researcher (ECR) Workshop shall be organized in association with the IAREP-SABE 2021 virtual conference on June 10th , 2021 on the first day of the main conference prior to the beginning of its official programme. Workshop participants are expected to join the workshop virtually via Zoom meeting and give a short presentation of their work, followed by a discussion of a mentor (a senior academic from IAREP/SABE conference participants and guest speakers) and peers.

Who is eligible?

PhD students, postdocs and tenure-track researchers in the first academic year of their career who have submitted their papers to the IAREP-SABE 2021 virtual conference, as well as local young researchers in the field.

How to apply?

By May 1st , 2021, following this link to submit your application to the ECR workshop organizers, Alexis Belianin (abelianin[at]hse.ru) and Michal Krol (michalk[at]uia.no). The submission form will ask you to fill a letter of intent confirming your willingness to participate, and title and extended abstract (min 500 max 1500 words) or full text of the paper you would like to present. This may be the paper submitted to the main conference (whether accepted or rejected), or any other work you would like to present and receive feedback on. Acceptance to the ECR workshop is not related to acceptance to the main conference.

Authors accepted to ECR workshop shall be notified in writing by May 10th , 2021 and should prepare a short version of their paper (up to 7,000 words, excluding appendices) for mentor’s review by May 20th , 2021.

Workshop

Workshop participants are expected to join the workshop virtually via Zoom meeting by the morning of Thursday, June 10 th , 2021, and give a short presentation of their work, followed by a discussion of a mentor (a senior academic from IAREP/SABE conference participants and guest speakers) and peers.

There is no separate fee for the workshop over the main IAREP-SABE conference fee.
